What to know about Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) Streams?
The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program owns nine streams;
Industry-oriented skills and experience
The streams operate via Canada’s federal government express entry system for which the candidate needs to have a valid IRCC’s express entry profile along with Ontario’s notification of interest.
The Human Capital Priorities Stream
The candidate can apply under this stream if he has the appropriate skill set, experience, qualification, and language proficiency.
Skilled Trades Stream
The stream allows foreign nationals with the required business skills to apply to work in Ontario.
The French-speaking skilled worker Stream
One can apply for the French-speaking skilled worker stream if the candidate is well-versed as a French-speaking foreign worker along with language abilities in English.
Employment Job Offer in Ontario
To be eligible for the following streams, the candidate must know these streams conduct via OINP’s Expression of Interest System. Thus, he needs to register an expression of interest system and shall get an ITA.
Foreign Worker Stream – Job offer in Ontario
If the candidate is a skilled foreign worker and has an employment job offer in Ontario, he is eligible to apply for the foreign worker stream.
International Student Stream – Job offer in Ontario
If the candidate is a fresh graduate and has a job offer to work in Ontario, he can apply for the International Student Stream
In-Demand Skills Stream
If the candidate is a foreign worker in an in-demand job along with an employment offer in Ontario, he is eligible for the In-demand skills stream.
Master or Ph.D. degree Category
The streams under the Master’s or Ph.D. degree category run through OINP’s expression of Interest system. Thus, he needs to register an expression of interest system and shall get an ITA.
Graduation in Masters
The candidate must have a master’s degree from Ontario university to apply under the Master’s stream.
Graduation in PhD
The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree from an Ontario University to apply under the Graduate Stream
Ontario Tech Pilot Program
Also as part of the OINP, the candidates can apply to the Ontario tech Pilot program if they are qualified to apply under one of the 29 tech occupations. The foreign nationals must have 1 year of work experience in the realm of tech stream and must have met the conditions and requirements of the Human Capital Priorities stream.
