Saskatchewan PNP has issued Invitations To Immigration candidates

Canadian provinces have done a great job of continuing immigration services even amidst the pandemic. Saskatchewan recently organised a massive draw on August 14. In fact, it was the largest PNP draw organised by the province since February.

The draw issued invitations to 533 immigration candidates who will now be able to prepare their applications for a provincial nomination from the province. Securing a nomination will benefit the candidates in their journey towards permanent residence.

Details of the draw

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) organised the invitation round to invite candidates belonging to the International Skilled Worker category. The draw took two subcategories into consideration, namely Express Entry, and Occupations In-Demand. The biggest draw organised this year was on February 13, and it issued 646 invitations. This one fell short by just a bit.

It was mandatory for candidates to have submitted Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles to the SINP in order to get invited during the draw, irrespective of the category they belonged to.

The SINP utilises the EOI system to choose the candidates who show the maximum potential to succeed in this prairie province. It is important for the candidates to be clear about their commitment to building a happy life in Saskatchewan through their education, work experience, language skills, age, and provincial connections.

The SINP takes these five factors into consideration when evaluating the candidates and assigning them a score out of 100 on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. The candidates with the highest scores are given an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination from the province.

The August 14 draws required candidates to have a minimum score of 69 for both sub-categories. You can check out the SINP for information about future draws.
