Saskatchewan Invites 104 Immigration Candidates In Latest PNP Draw
On January 12, Saskatchewan welcomed 104 immigration candidates in its latest PNP draw of 2022. In its first draw of the year 2022, SINP issued invitations through its immigration streams, Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand. There was 37 eligible for the Express Entry and 67 for the Occupations In-Demand category.
The lowest-scoring immigration candidate from both the sub-categories had 68 points on the Expression of Interest (EOI) ranking system.
In this Saskatchewan PNP draw, candidates were invited with experience in one of the following occupations:
- Medical Laboratory Technologists
- Paramedical Occupations
- Psychologists
- Medical Sonographers
- Occupational Therapists
- Medical Radiation Technologists
Immigration candidates from both categories were required to possess educational qualification credential assessments to demonstrate their education is at par with the Canadian standard.
Saskatchewan Express Entry Category
The Express Entry category is an extension to the PNP and is linked to the federal express entry system. Express Entry evaluates the pool of candidates for the three main immigration programs of Canada: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
Immigration candidates with express entry profiles should also create Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles in order to be considered for an invitation to apply for SINP.
The Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan get an additional 600 points towards their CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score. This score helps in getting Canadian permanent residence.
Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand Category
The Occupations In-Demand Category is open to candidates who do not have an express entry profile. This category caters the highly skilled workers with experience in the in-demand occupations in the province. If you wish to apply for Canadian immigration through this category, then you’re required to create an EOI profile through the Saskatchewan online application system.
EOI system will allow the province to evaluate your work experience, education, language ability, age, and other parameters to settle in Saskatchewan.
