Nova Scotia Nominee Program NSNP

The Canadian province of Nova Scotia released the details of the first draw that was held in 2020 via the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream. Nova Scotia has issued invitations to Express Entry candidates who will now be able to apply for a provincial nomination. This nomination will give the advantages in their journey towards attaining Canadian permanent residence via the Labour Market Priorities Stream.

Details:

The draw was organized on April 27, 2020. It targeted the Express Entry candidates who were well-qualified in French. They were eligible only if they had picked French as their first official language, along with having a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 8 or more in French. They had to be equally capable in all language abilities, like writing, reading, listening, and speaking.

The candidates who were selected also had a minimum CLB score of minimum 6 in English across all four language abilities. The eligibility requirements also stated that they should have a bachelor’s degree, or they should have completed a program of at least three years or more at a college, university, trade, or technical school. The candidates also had to prove that they had a valid Express Entry number. They were allowed into the pool as long as they satisfied the minimum criteria. The minimum CRS score required to qualify has not been revealed yet. It is also not clear how many candidates were issued letters of interest during the draw.
