The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program has distributed a total of 7,141 invitations in 2019.
The 77th Manitoba Expression of Interest (EOI) draw was organized on 21st November. During the draw, Manitoba issued 230 invitations to be distributed among candidates enabling them to apply for a provincial nomination. With the help of the invitation, the candidate might be able to secure a provincial nomination, which will make the path to permanent residence much easier.
This recent draw saw the government issuing invitations to candidates belonging to categories under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. Candidates in the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category, International Education immigration streams, and the Skilled Worker Overseas Category were taken into consideration.
The 230 LAAs that was issued on 21st November was distributed among every category. 185 were offered to the Skilled Worker in Manitoba program, and 16 were issued to members of the Skilled Worker Overseas category. The International Education Stream received 29 LAAs. Taking the new invitations into account, the total number of LAAs issued to skilled workers and candidates of the International Education Stream stands at 7,141 in 2019. The invitations through categories like Skilled Worker Overseas and Skilled Worker in Manitoba are dependent on the Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
All the candidates have to create a profile, which is then evaluated and ranked on a score of 1,000 points. A candidate’s education, connections to Manitoba, language proficiency and work experience affect the rank.
Only a fixed number of candidates with the highest ranks receive an LAA that allows them to submit their applications for provincial nomination. The nomination is crucial when it comes to securing Canadian permanent residence in Manitoba. In the last draw, the lowest-ranked candidate who received an invitation under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream had secured a score of 504.
