The pandemic has forced Canada to enforce travel restrictions, but international students have the option of beginning their course online while retaining their eligibility for the PGWP.
Students from India especially will be at an advantage when it comes to getting a study permit.
The study permit gives you legal confirmation of your eligibility to study in Canada. Submit all the required documents and wait patiently.
How to fast-track your study-permit application?
Indian students will be able to fast-track study permit applications via the Student Direct Stream. Canada will process all the study permit applications submitted by Indians under this stream within 20 calendar days. Indians will have to fulfill some additional criteria in order to be eligible for the SDS, like obtaining a minimum score of 6 in each skill of the IELTS Academic test, submitting proof of having paid tuition fees for the first year of the course, and more such conditions.
Indians who are aiming to begin their studies in Canada in 2020 will benefit from this option.
