Canadian provinces are aiming to invite more skilled candidates in 2021 so as to fill the labor deficiencies in the market.
Manitoba is one of the most popular provinces among immigrants. Candidates have been invited to the province through regular draws since the beginning of the year. The latest draw took place on June 7, and Manitoba issued a total of 142 invitations among candidates eligible for provincial nomination. Inclusive of the draw, Manitoba has invited a total of 3,564 immigration candidates in 2021, and they can submit their applications for a provincial nomination.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) will assess the applications and reward nominations to candidates who will be a good fit for the province. Successful provincial nominees will have an advantage over other candidates when they apply for permanent residence in Canada. Manitoba invited talented international candidates through a variety of immigration programs. The MPNP is responsible for handling provincial immigration and issuing provincial nominations.
Details of the draw
Candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream secured a total of 95 invitations, and their required EOI score was 375. On the other hand, the Skilled Workers Overseas candidates received a total of 25 invitations, and their EOI score requirement was 703. There was no EOI score requirement for the International Education Stream and 22 candidates were invited through it.
The candidates who manage to secure provincial nominations will have 600 CRS points added to their score automatically. They will have an advantage over other candidates in the pool in the next federal Express Entry draw.
